Become an advertiser at Spudo

A structured process from first contact to active campaign

When a new advertiser wants to work with Spudo, the company goes through a fixed onboarding process before a campaign can be activated.

The purpose is simple: we need to know who we are working with, where the money comes from, which products are being marketed and in which markets the advertising will run.

That is why we combine commercial assessment, partner checks, compliance and ongoing review.

Phase 1 · Steps 1–3

Assessment and partner checks

We get to know the company and the people behind it before anything is activated.

  1. First assessment of the company

Every new advertiser is assessed before we continue with onboarding.

Among other things, we look at:

    • Which company wants to advertise
    • Which product or brand is to be marketed
    • Which countries and markets the company operates in
    • Which marketing channels are requested
    • How the partnership is expected to be settled

Spudo reserves the right to decline companies, products, markets or forms of cooperation that do not fit our compliance or risk profile.

  2. Know your business partner

Before a partnership can be activated, we need to know which company we are contracting with. Spudo is a marketing company, so we only ask for the information needed for the partnership.

    We typically ask for:

    • Company name and registration number
    • Registered address
    • Website and brand
    • Contact person
    • Who can enter into agreements on behalf of the company
    • Invoicing and bank details
    • Markets and products

The purpose is to make sure Spudo knows which legal entity we are contracting with and who we are invoicing.

  3. Review of the information

We review the information we receive and assess whether it is consistent.

Among other things, we look at:

    The company

That the name, registration number and address match the agreement and the invoicing details.

    The contact person

That we are in dialogue with a person who can enter into agreements on behalf of the company.

    Product and market

That what is to be marketed fits the markets the campaign will run in.

If the information is not consistent, or we cannot get answers to our questions, the partnership is not activated.

Phase 2 · Steps 4–7

Payments and compliance

We make sure the money can be traced and that the product and markets can be approved.

  1. Verification of the payment flow

An important part of our onboarding is making sure payments come from an identifiable and approved company.

As a rule, Spudo only accepts payments by bank transfer from the company we have contracted with, or from a group entity approved in advance.

The payment must be directly traceable to:

    1. The approved advertiser
    2. An identified bank account
    3. An issued invoice
    4. A documented partnership

We do not accept unidentified payments or payments where the sender cannot be documented satisfactorily.

  2. Countries and jurisdictions

Spudo continuously assesses which countries we can receive payments from and work with.

Our assessment draws on external risk ratings, sanctions lists and internationally recognised sources, among others.

We do not enter into partnerships if a company, owner, bank or payment is subject to relevant international sanctions or falls outside Spudo's accepted risk profile.

For higher-risk countries, Spudo may require additional documentation or decline the partnership altogether.

  3. Approval of payment details

Before the first payment, the company's approved payment details are registered.

This means Spudo checks the link between:

    • The company on the contract
    • The company on the invoice
    • The registered bank account
    • The sender of the payment
    • The legal entity receiving the marketing service

Changes to payment details may require a new check.

This reduces the risk of payments coming from unrelated third parties.

  4. Compliance of product and markets

Before a campaign is activated, we also assess the product that is to be marketed.

Among other things, we look at:

    • Which markets the product targets
    • Which marketing channels may be used
    • Brand and marketing requirements
    • Any requirements for messaging and creatives

An approved advertiser therefore does not automatically mean that every product, market or campaign is approved.

Each campaign may be assessed individually.

Phase 3 · Steps 8–11

Campaign and marketing

The partnership is set up, the right partners are selected and the results are recorded.

  1. The campaign is set up

Once the company and the campaign are approved, the partnership is set up in Spudo's system.

This is where we define, among other things:

    • Market
    • Product
    • Price per customer
    • Qualification criteria
    • Tracking
    • Reporting
    • Payment terms
    • Permitted marketing channels
    • Any restrictions

This ensures that Spudo, the advertiser and our partners all work to the same terms.

  2. Partners are approved for the campaign

A campaign is not necessarily made available to every partner.

Spudo may select specific partners based on, among other things:

    • Geographic market
    • Traffic source
    • Historical performance
    • Compliance
    • Quality
    • Relevant audience
    • Previous cooperation

This is how we try to match each advertiser with the partners best suited to the campaign.

  3. Marketing begins

Once the campaign is active, approved partners can start marketing the advertiser.

Spudo acts as the link between the advertiser and the digital partners.

    1. Advertiserwants new customers
    2. Spudohandles cooperation, technology, tracking and reporting
    3. Digital partnermarkets the advertiser
    4. New customer
    5. The result is recorded
  4. Tracking and documentation

    All results are recorded digitally.

This makes it possible to document:

    • Which partner generated the customer
    • Which campaign the customer came from
    • When the customer was registered
    • Which market the customer belongs to
    • What commission has been agreed
    • Which results are to be settled

Spudo uses this data for reporting, invoicing and payments to our partners.

Phase 4 · Steps 12–15

Settlement and ongoing review

Results are reconciled, payments are checked and the partnership is reviewed continuously.

  1. Reconciliation before invoicing

Before invoicing, the results are reconciled.

The advertiser and Spudo can thereby check the recorded results and make sure settlement is based on the agreed data.

Only then is the invoice issued.

  2. Payment from the advertiser

When the invoice is paid, the payment is checked against the company's registered details.

    Among other things, we check:

    • Who paid?
    • From which bank account?
    • Does the payment match the invoice?
    • Does the legal entity match our agreement?

If the payment cannot be matched to the expected sender, it may be held for further checks.

  3. Spudo pays the partners

Once the results are approved and the payments reconciled, Spudo pays commission to the partners who delivered the results. However, some partners may receive faster payment!

Partner payments are likewise tied to identified companies and documented partnerships.

This creates a clear payment flow:

    1. Advertiserpays for documented results
    2. Spudoreceives, reconciles and administers the payment
    3. Digital partnerreceives the agreed commission
  4. Ongoing review

Compliance does not stop once an advertiser has been approved.

    Spudo may continuously reassess:

    • Company information
    • Ownership
    • Licences
    • Bank details
    • Markets
    • Marketing methods
    • Traffic sources
    • Payment patterns
    • Sanctions status
    • Other risk factors

In the event of material changes, we may request new documentation or temporarily pause a partnership.

Compliance

Compliance is part of the process

For Spudo, compliance is not only about documents at the start.

It is an ongoing process that follows the partnership from first contact to final payment.

Our aim is to be able to document at any time:

  • Who we work with
  • What we market
  • Where the activity takes place
  • How the results are created
  • Where the money comes from
  • Who we pay onwards

This makes the partnership more transparent for advertisers, partners, banks, auditors and other stakeholders.
