Become a partner

Become a partner at Spudo

Join our network of digital marketing partners

Spudo works with digital partners who help our advertisers generate traffic, leads and new paying customers.

Before a new partner is approved, we go through an onboarding process in which we get to know the company, its markets, marketing channels and working methods.

The purpose is to make sure we match the right partners with the right advertisers – and that the marketing is carried out in a responsible and documentable way.

Phase 1 · Steps 1–4

Assessment and partner checks

We get to know the company, its business and its marketing channels.

  1. First assessment of the partner

Every new partner is assessed before gaining access to our advertisers and campaigns.

Among other things, we look at:

    • Which company is behind it
    • Which countries the partner works in
    • Which industries and niches the partner works with
    • Which marketing channels the partner uses
    • How the traffic is generated
    • Which types of customers the partner works with
    • How long the company has been active
    • Previous experience and partnerships
    • Expected traffic and volume

Spudo reserves the right to decline partners, traffic types, markets or marketing methods that do not fit our compliance or risk profile.

  2. We need to know who we work with

Before a partnership can be activated, Spudo needs to know which company or person is behind the partner. Spudo is a marketing company, so we only ask for the information needed for the partnership.

    We typically ask for:

    • Company name
    • Registration number
    • Registered address
    • Contact person
    • Invoicing and bank details
    • Website and other digital channels
    • Information on the marketing methods used

The purpose is to make sure Spudo always knows who is sending traffic to our advertisers and who receives payment for the results.

  3. Understanding the partner's business

An important part of the onboarding process is understanding how the partner works.

We therefore normally have a conversation about:

    Countries

Which markets does the partner work in?

    Niches

Which industries and product types does the partner have experience with?

    Marketing channels

    How is the traffic generated?

    Audiences

Which types of users does the partner reach?

    Volume

How much traffic or how many customers are expected?

This lets us assess which advertisers and campaigns best fit the partner's profile.

  4. Marketing channels

Partners can work with different digital marketing channels.

    These may include:

    • Websites
    • SEO
    • Paid search
    • Social media
    • Email marketing
    • SMS marketing
    • Push notifications
    • Communities
    • Influencers
    • Comparison sites
    • Content marketing
    • Other approved digital channels

It is important for Spudo to know the specific traffic channel before a partner is approved for a campaign.

A partner approved for one marketing channel is therefore not automatically approved to use other channels.

Phase 2 · Steps 5–8

Rules and consent

Legislation, personal data and consent must be in place before the marketing starts.

  1. Compliance within each niche

Different industries are subject to different rules and requirements.

Spudo therefore expects the partner to know and comply with the legislation and rules that apply to the industry and market being marketed in.

    This may include requirements for:

    • Marketing
    • Age restrictions
    • Responsible advertising
    • Product information
    • Campaign messaging
    • Consent
    • Consumer protection
    • Regulation within the specific industry

If a campaign operates in a regulated industry, Spudo may set additional requirements for how the campaign may be marketed.

  2. GDPR and personal data

Partners who work with personal data must comply with the applicable data protection rules.

For activities within the EU, this means, among other things, that personal data must be processed in accordance with the GDPR and other relevant data protection legislation.

Depending on the marketing channel, this may include:

    • A valid legal basis for processing personal data
    • Correct handling of consent
    • Documentation of consent where required
    • The option to withdraw consent
    • Secure storage of personal data
    • Restricted access to personal data
    • Correct handling of erasure and access requests
    • Compliance with applicable rules on electronic marketing

Spudo does not accept traffic based on unlawfully collected or used personal data.

  3. Marketing rules

Partners must comply with the applicable marketing legislation in the countries where the marketing takes place.

This means, among other things, that the marketing must be:

    • Lawful
    • Accurate
    • Transparent
    • Not misleading
    • Aimed at a relevant audience
    • In line with the advertiser's guidelines

Partners may not use marketing methods that could harm the advertiser, Spudo or the end user.

  4. Consent for direct marketing

For channels such as email, SMS and other direct electronic marketing, Spudo sets particularly high requirements for documentation and compliance.

The partner must be able to document that the necessary permission for the marketing exists, where this is required.

Spudo may ask for information on, among other things:

    • How consent was obtained
    • When consent was obtained
    • What the user has consented to
    • How the consent is documented
    • How the user can unsubscribe

If the partner cannot document the necessary basis for the marketing, the campaign may be stopped.

Phase 3 · Steps 9–13

Traffic and campaigns

The traffic sources are approved and the partner is matched with the right advertisers and campaigns.

  1. Origin of the traffic

Spudo must be able to understand where the traffic comes from.

The partner must therefore be able to disclose and document its traffic channels.

    Examples include:

    SEO

Organic traffic from the partner's own websites.

    Paid media

Paid advertising on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google, Snapchat and others.

    Email or SMS

Traffic from the partner's own databases with relevant documentation.

    Social media

Traffic from own or managed profiles.

    Content

Editorial or commercial content on the partner's own media.

    Influencer

Traffic from the partner's own personal brand.

Unidentifiable or hidden traffic channels are, as a rule, not accepted.

  2. No unauthorised traffic channels

Partners may only use the marketing channels and traffic types approved for the individual campaign.

This means, for example, that a partner may not:

    • Change traffic channel without approval
    • Use third-party traffic without agreement
    • Resell the campaign to other partners without permission
    • Use hidden or misleading redirects
    • Use automated or artificial traffic
    • Manipulate tracking or results
    • Market in non-approved markets

In the event of material breaches, the partnership may be stopped immediately.

  3. Matching with the right advertisers

Once the partner's profile is approved, Spudo matches the partner with relevant advertisers.

Among other things, we look at:

    • Country
    • Niche
    • Audience
    • Marketing channel
    • Historical performance
    • Traffic quality
    • Compliance
    • Expected volume

This means that not all partners necessarily get access to all campaigns.

Instead, we try to create the best possible match between partner and advertiser.

  4. Campaign terms

When a partner gets access to a campaign, the specific terms are clearly defined.

    These may include:

    • Country
    • Product
    • Price per customer
    • Requirements for the new customer
    • Permitted marketing channels
    • Restricted traffic types
    • Tracking
    • Reporting
    • Payment terms
    • Compliance requirements
    • Any brand guidelines

The partner is responsible for understanding the terms before the marketing starts.

  5. Tracking of results

When the marketing starts, the results are recorded digitally.

Tracking makes it possible to see:

    • Which partner the traffic comes from
    • Which campaign the customer came from
    • Which market is involved
    • When the result was created
    • What commission is attached to the result

This data forms the basis for reporting and settlement.

Phase 4 · Steps 14–17

Quality and payment

The traffic is quality-checked and approved results are paid out to the right recipient.

  1. Quality control

Spudo continuously assesses the quality of the traffic sent to our advertisers.

Among other things, we look at:

    • Traffic quality
    • Conversions
    • Customer activity
    • Rejected customers
    • Suspicious patterns
    • Compliance
    • Complaints
    • Traffic sources
    • Marketing methods

If the traffic deviates significantly from what is expected, Spudo may request further documentation.

  2. Combating fraud and manipulation

Spudo does not accept artificially generated results or attempts to manipulate our systems or those of our advertisers. Documentation of this will be presented and payment will be withheld.

    This includes, among other things:

    • Fake customers
    • Duplicate accounts
    • Bots
    • Automated traffic
    • Manipulated leads
    • Abuse of campaigns
    • Manipulation of tracking
    • Other forms of fraudulent activity

Suspicious traffic may be paused while it is being investigated.

  3. Invoicing and payment

Once the partner has delivered approved results, the commission earned can be settled.

Spudo reconciles on the basis of the recorded and approved results.

Payment is made to the payment details registered on the partner's approved account.

    This creates a clear flow:

    1. Digital partnergenerates traffic and new customers
    2. Spudotracks and reconciles the results
    3. Advertiserapproves the recorded results
    4. Spudopays out the partner's commission
  4. Verification of payment details

Before a partner can receive payment, the payment details must be traceable to the approved partner.

Spudo may check the link between:

    • Partner account
    • Company name
    • Invoice
    • Bank account
    • Legal entity
    • Payee

Changes to payment details may require a new check.

We do not pay out to unknown or non-approved third parties.

Phase 5 · Steps 18–20

Ongoing compliance

The partnership is followed up with ongoing checks, spot checks and clear consequences.

  1. Ongoing compliance

Approving a partner is not a one-off process.

    Spudo may continuously check:

    • Company information
    • Traffic channels
    • Websites
    • Marketing material
    • Consents
    • Campaigns
    • Markets
    • Bank details
    • Ownership
    • Traffic quality
    • Complaints
    • Compliance

If there are material changes to the partner's business or marketing methods, we expect Spudo to be informed.

  2. Spot checks and documentation

Spudo may carry out spot checks on active partners and campaigns.

Among other things, we may ask for:

    • Screenshots of marketing
    • Landing pages
    • Links
    • Consent documentation
    • Examples of emails or SMS
    • Traffic sources
    • Ad accounts
    • Website information
    • Other documentation

The purpose is to make sure the traffic sent to our advertisers matches what has been approved.

  3. If the rules are not followed

If a partner does not comply with campaign terms, legislation or Spudo's compliance requirements, Spudo may, among other things:

    • Request documentation
    • Stop a campaign
    • Restrict access to campaigns
    • Pause traffic
    • Reject results that do not comply with the terms
    • Terminate the partnership

In the event of serious or repeated violations, the partner's account may be closed.

Compliance

Compliance follows the entire partnership

For Spudo, compliance is not only about approving a partner at the start.

It is about the entire partnership.

We must continuously be able to understand and document:

  • Who the partner is
  • Where the traffic comes from
  • Which marketing channels are used
  • Which markets are advertised in
  • How the users are contacted
  • That the necessary consents are in place
  • That the marketing complies with applicable rules
  • That payments go to the correct company

This creates a more transparent and secure partnership between the partner, Spudo and the advertiser.
